Brrrrrrrrr……….Mobday 2024 was ice-cold, and clearly the start of the Johannesburg winter, but had no effect on the fun and games that was had by all 100 Meerkats that attended from around the Gauteng region, along with around 400 Scouters, parents and siblings.

The event was held at Arrowe Park, Benoni which is an amazing Scout Activity and camping area.

Sandringham setup a Bubble Base. Small bubbles, big bubbles, and some maybe bigger than your head.

The theme was Elemental (like the animated movie), so the bubble base really worked well with he theme.

18 bases were run according to the 4 elements being Wind, Water, Earth and Fire over a period of two and a half hours.

Bases ranged from obstacle courses, dexterity activities and art & crafts. The face painting base was a hit, and the queues maintained for the duration of the event.

Thanks to the Den Scouter and assistants as well as the Midgard Rover Crew for assisting with setup and running of the base.

This will surely be a main event for 2025.
